The Tucson Pops Orchestra will be kicking off their free monthly Music Under the Stars concert series on Sunday, May 10, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, 1100 S. Randolph Way. The series is a community favorite with its casual atmosphere; attendees are invited to bring picnic and lawn chair equipment. The first concert's "Stars of the Future" theme will pay homage to rock legend Stevie Wonder, the classic soundtrack The Sound of Music, and will close out with some national pride via "America the Beautiful". The varied styles that are featured ensure that there's something for everyone. Food trucks will be available to feed and refresh. The series runs every Sunday from May 10 through May 31. The concerts are free.
