Heating up Tucson for the sixth year in a row, Casa Vicente on 375 S. Stone Ave. is bringing back the annual Tucson Flamenco Festival. Going back to owner's Marita and Vicente Gomez's Spanish roots, the event will feature Flamenco guitarists, singers, and dancers from Seville, Jerez, Cordoba and Barcelona along with Flamenco artists based in the New Mexico, LA, San Francisco and Tucson. The festivities will begin Tuesday, Sept. 23 with the Youth Guitar Competition Finals, followed by the Adult Guitar Competition Semi-Finals on Wednesday, and the Guitar Competition Finals will take place on Thursday. Friday to Sunday will feature a repertoire of local and visiting performers that will showcase a variety of Flamenco performances.
