Dr. Michael Maximov and Nancy Klug, RN, discuss risk factors, symptoms and treatments for diabetes from 8:30 to 10 a.m., Thursday, May 12. Free. Glucose screening included. Improving communication within a patient's health-care team is discussed in a workshop for both patients and caregivers from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Thursday, May 12. A "Stroke Check Clinic" provides information and resources about risk factors and prevention at the Marshall Conference Center (5301 E. Grant Road) from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 14. A film and discussion cover what every caregiver should know about Alzheimer's from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 25. Call for more information.
