The owners of Throwbacks have done a great job revamping the place from its former dive bar days. With a decent selection of beers on tap and in the bottle, Throwbacks is a great place to catch a sporting event on one of the two dozen TVs strategically placed around the bar. Service is friendly, and the food isn’t your typical freezer-to-fryer bar fare—it’s fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and quite tasty. (04-17-14)
