Thrifters Rejoice

cityweek1_0806.jpg

For antique and thrift shoppers, the thrill comes in the hunt. Searching through the racks of thrift stores for that one special treasure at a bargain is true living. For four days every month, Gather A Vintage Market, 657 W. St. Marys Road, ensures antique hunters find a treasure every time. The market works a bit differently than traditional antique shops or swap meets. Venders do not have individual booths with space fees. They sell in one space and pay a percentage of their profits. The merchandise isn't the only feature that changes each month. The floor plan, layout and theme change, too. The next market is Thursday, Aug. 6 to Sunday, Aug. 9, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information visit Gather A Vintage Market's Facebook page.
