How unfortunate is this? After six years of no X Files TV episodes, and 10 years since the first film, we get this rush job piece of junk. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in what turns out to be something that does not deserve to be on the big screen. If this had been a TV episode, it wouldve been considered subpar. The plot involves some abducted women, Russian scientists, Scullys travails in the medical profession and a psychic pedophile priest looking for redemption (Billy Connolly). Seriously, who gives a shit? I hope this isnt it for the X Files, but creator-director Chris Carter and company are going to have a tough time getting other installments off the ground after this. The novelty of seeing Mulder and Scully together again is the only thing that keeps this from being a total bottom-feeder.
