The Work and the Glory 3: A House Divided

In this third installment adapting Gerald N. Lund’s religiously inspired novels, a family and entire communities are divided because of their stance on the Mormon faith. After a former Mormon (Eric Johnson) is ostracized from his home, he relocates, remarries and denies his personal problems as he joins the State Militia of Missouri. Meanwhile, the Mormons suffer considerable financial woes, slander and containment within the limited boundaries of their Land of Zion, all because of the militia’s vengeance. Director Sterling Van Wagenen’s film comes off as a lame high-school play with its forced acting and cheap-looking sets and costumes.
