The Lost Boys of Sudan
Strangely, there were two films called
Lost Boys of Sudan released last
year, and both were documentaries about
Sudanese youths who escaped the
violence and poverty of their homeland to
come to the United States. Even stranger,
there’s another film called Lost
Boys of Sudan in production right
now. Anyway, if you want to see one of
these films, you’re in luck, because
Megan Myland’s documentary is now
playing in town. The film follows Peter Dut
and Santino Chuor on their remarkable
journey. Having survived lion attacks and
civil war, they find their way from a Kenyan
refugee camp to an American suburb.
Weird and interesting stuff.
