The excessive use of handheld cameras
and rapid cutting makes this fast-paced
thriller a bit hard to watch and follow. But
then, the enormous plot holes also help
there. Still, with Matt Damons seven-watt
starpower giving the screen a faint glow,
The Bourne Supremacy manages
to maintain interest throughout its
reasonably short length. The story is the
usual superspy-meets-girl,
superspy-loses-girl,
superspy-rampages-through-Europe sort
of thing, but there are a few nice twists
and a charmingly villainous performance
by Brian Cox. In sum, The Bourne
Supremacy is better than shaving your
head with a cheese grater while chewing
aluminum foil, but not as good as getting
the Nobel prize in physics while scoring
with the Olsen twins and/or Nsync.
