The A-Team

Joe Carnahan’s big-screen adaptation of the ’80s TV series doesn’t work, and that’s a shame, because he’s assembled a good cast to re-create the roles, including Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. While the cast looks the part, and some sequences are amusing, the film has no real sense of purpose, boasting an aimless plot that fails to engage. Every time the movie tries to have fun, it gets mired down in mundane dialogue. If there are further installments in this franchise, somebody needs to come up with a way to provide better, more bouncy material for these characters. One should not be bored at a movie involving The A-Team.

The A-Team is not showing in any theaters in the area.
