The weather is getting colder, and for us beer drinkers, you know what that means: away with the those too light hefes and IPAs, and in with the stouts and porters so thick you could cut them with a knife. If dark heavy beers are your thing, check out Tucson Stout Showdown at Tap and Bottle (403 N. Sixth Ave. #135) this Thursday, Nov. 5. Sample a blind taste testing flight of stouts from local Tucson breweries 1912, Barrio, Thunder Canyon, Public, Iron John's and Pueblo Vida. You might just find your new favorite beer. Info, visit the Facebook event page.
