If you have or know a kid that likes to read (or is learning to read), the Children's Museum, 200 S. Sixth Ave., will host a festival all about books for kids. This free event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, and will feature readings from local government officials along with appearances by your kid's favorite story characters and book giveaways.
