The first new bar to open in South Tucson in years, the Saint Charles Tavern is low-key, slightly bohemian, comfortable and friendly, with a killer beer selection and increasingly frequent live bands. Off the beaten path, for now but not for long, Saint Charles is the perfect spot for those displaced by the big development downtown. But why lament the loss of the old weird Tucson vibe when that same spirit lives on barely a mile away?
