Staff Pick: Best Downtown Bookstore

Antigone Books

Staff Pick

411 N. Fourth Ave.

Antigone Books is one of the things that makes our town home. The Tucson staple, right there on Fourth Avenue across from the Co-op, has energy like being in the womb or on the edge of a cliff under a starry night sky. And that energy never changes, even while the written history of the whole world travels through its walls. Whether you need a gift (they wrap with the cutest wrapping paper), want to see a beloved local author do a reading or just need to remember what it means to be human, Antigone will welcome you with loving arms, hold you close and whisper sweet nothings in your ear.

(Sorry, no information is currently available for other years in this same award category.)
