This is far more simple than its made out to be. Cut the rhetoric and get to the point. Children under the age of consent (18 years old) cannot be held responsible for being brought here. They should all be citizens. Period.

Thank you for your insights and the good fight for equality and fair treatment of all humankind. And most of all for your continuing patience with those who refuse to see their own bigotry and the narrowness of their own experiences as a gauge of what is happening right outside their own very safe little neighborhoods.
The plan is to water down the quality of teaching to the point that all schools "fail." Then corporate raiders can take them over, collect tax money and close them down and transfer their loot offshore. We can stop this now. Get out and vote!
I am so impressed with your perseverance in the face of all the graceless and crude remarks. I have to say, I deeply appreciate your presentation of the facts and read you faithfully, frequently tweeting your comments to my followers (few). As a former teacher, now retired and writing the stories of what it's like to teach with no budget, crap for pay and a constant barrage of slander, I like to keep focused on what the unbridled plunder of our neighborhood schools does to our kids' future.
This is an argument that is ridiculously easy to resolve. Just look at their enrollement figures before criticizing Mr. Safire! Get a grip on the facts.
