Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan try our
patience in this joke-free sequel to
Shanghai Noon. Without the aid of
such unnecessary contrivances as plot,
dialogue, or purpose, Wilson and Chan
take their 19th century buddy act on the
road and go one-dumber on the worst of
the Hope/Crosby movies. Distracted by a
pointless series of English stereotypes,
they go chop-socky on an imaginary
London where humor is, apparently,
illegal. Theres a lovely blooper reel at the
end, but it hardly makes up for the wasted
100 minutes that precede it, and only
serves to reinforce the feeling that they
had a lot more fun making this movie
than anyone would have watching it.
