Re: “Danehy

Plutocracy (Greek: , ploutos, 'wealth' + , kratos, 'rule') or plutarchy, is a form of oligarchy and defines a society ruled or controlled by the small minority of the wealthiest citizens.
-- Wikipedia.

This nation has never been a true democracy, but is a republic that uses elected representatives of the people to serve their will. Unfortunately, it was relatively easy to pay for and buy representatives -- from both major parties -- than to have to buy every individual voter.

Re: “Over Stepping Bounds

OK, let's try this one more time.... NO ONE in the U.S. Border Patrol can legally give anyone "permission" to operate contrary to the law, regardless of any perceptions that No More Deaths organizers have or because of some highly-questionable unsigned written agreement.

Anyone providing aid, other than U.S. Border Patrol personnel in the course of their legal duties, is as guilty of exploitation by providing false hope as the Coyotes and smugglers who use these people for monetary gain, as opposed to self-serving do-gooders who get a warm and fuzzy feeling -- and a slight thrill -- from circumventing "the man" and the laws of this country.

Nevertheless, if people are determined to provide aid and comfort to illegal border crossers, may I suggest that you set up your desert aid stations on the south side of the border and see how you are received by the Mexican authorities.

Re: “Border Patrol Agents Bust Migrants Seeking Medical Aid at No More Deaths Desert Camp

"According to NMD, the group has had an unsigned written agreement with the Tucson Sector Border Patrol since 2013, with the federal agency pledging to not to interfere with the humanitarian camp that provides life-saving medical treatment to many migrants every year."

I find it hard to believe that anyone in authority at the Border Patrol would enter into any agreement -- signed/unsigned or verbal -- that is contrary to the rules, regulations and laws governing the agency's operations.

As for providing humanitarian aid, which is more humane: Providing an empty hope that those making this deadly journey will somehow reach their destination unscathed, or saving lives and returning people who have freely chosen to violate the law and borders of the United States.

Re: “Danehy

When did it become socially acceptable to publicly revel in one's stupidity?
January 20, 2017.

When did the White House start hiring charter-school dropouts to write their speeches?
January 20, 2017.

Did they ever find the guy who carjacked the Mayor?
The mayor wasn't carjacked. He drove his car into a giant pot hole and the police couldn't come for hours because they had old cars, and the fire department couldn't come either, because they had old fire trucks, and while he was sitting in the pot hole the major decided we needed Proposition 101.

What would it take for you to regret having voted for Donald Trump?
Zombies.

Re: “The Skinny

"There's just an element out there that's just, like, so against the president. Like they just can't see straight. And all of a sudden on January 20, I'm like his twin sister to them. And I'm, like, responsible for everything he does, and tweets and says."

Like, learn to, you know, like, use adult word to, like, explain yourself and, like, your total disregard and, like, contempt for all your constituents not just, like, you know, the R ones.

"It would be good for the legislators' souls"

Sorry David, you are giving Arizona legislators credit for something they have clearly demonstrated they do not have.

Re: “Danehy

The existence of God has resurfaced as many people wonder how the Twitterer-in-Chief could visit the wall in Jerusalem without the All Mighty dropping it on him, or how he could visit the Vatican without being instantly struck down by lightening.

On a side note, did the "prayer" he slipped into the Wailing Wall whine about how he is the worst treated president ever?
