Second Saturdays Features TSO Pops

TSO Pops pays tribute to the best of Broadway at the Fox Tucson Theatre (17 W. Congress St.) from 7 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 9, as part of 2nd Saturdays Downtown. Free. Music at the Scott Stage, at Scott Street and Broadway Boulevard, gets under way at 5:30 and includes Toby Chivers and the Deceptively Innocent; Ballet Folklorico Tapatio; and Shaky Bones. Drum troupe Odaiko Sonora performs between sets. Free. Howe Gelb, Victoria Williams and members of Granddaddy, Giant Sand and Calexico perform a benefit at the Rialto Theatre (318 E. Congress St.) for the music program at Miles School. $21; $13 age 13 and younger. A multi-band event, Folkapalooza, takes place at Hotel Congress (311 E. Congress St.) to benefit the Tucson Folk Festival. $10 suggested donation. Musicians include Namoli Brennet, Leila Lopez, Courtney Robbins, Brian Lopez, the Carnivaleros and the Last Call Girls.
