The first of the Sci-Fi Summer Film Series, Alien opens on the Nostromo, a commercial spacecraft, where the crew are in a cryogenic sleep, waiting to return to Earth. When the crew is awakened to investigate a strange signal from a nearby planet, they find themselves hunted by an extraterrestrial.
