Thoroughbred and quarter horse racing takes place at 1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, May 5 and 6; $3 parking, $3 admission. Gates open at 10 a.m. Wagering is available onsite and via off-track simulcasts. Food vendors and local wines are available. A Derby hat contest and traditional mint juleps are featured Saturday afternoon. A Mexican-themed dinner and dance featuring live music by Appaloosa takes place Saturday following the races; $25.
