Run Away with the Circus

The Spring Circus, an annual fundraiser for the All Soul's Procession of Little Angels, is Saturday, May 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Khalsa Montessori School, 3701 E. River Road. Overflow parking is available across the street at the Jewish Community Center. Performances from Tucson Circus Arts (youth performances in walking globe, poi, juggling and stilts, as well as some workshops in globe and poi), hand-on circus fun, face painting, and paper-flower making. Capoeira Malandragem will present their Brazilian blend of acro-dance and martial styles with music. Also at the Spring Circus are The Wonderfools, a clown act; Children Carrying the Sound youth drum and dance; Tucson Samba and the Amazing Liam, a young magician and juggler. Closing the event is Circus Amperean with their tesla coil wizardry. Fiamme Pizza Napoletana and Purple Tree Organic Acai Blends food trucks will be there selling treats. Admission is $6 adults and $4 youths 17 and under. All proceeds will go toward this year's Procession of Little Angels. For more info, email littleangelsart@gmail.com
