One thing: Jimmy Carter was a great president. He forged a lasting peace between Egypt and Israel. What other president can say that. He was pilloried by warmongers and fools for weakness in the face of the Iran hostage crisis. Every one of the hostages made it home, and who got the credit, Ronald Reagan who became president on the same date the hostages were released. He had nothing to do with it. It was Carter who did it in the end. Just remember who was head of the CIA during Carter's presidency and who later ascended to the vice presidency under Reagan. That would be George H. R. Bush. But that's another story.
