Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D

This is a zombie move that de-emphasizes the walking dead in favor of characters standing around and having monotonous conversations about what they are going to do next. And when they do something, they do it in frustratingly slow motion. The story picks up where the last one left off, with multiple Alice (Milla Jovovich) clones running around in tight outfits; this visual is one of the few good things about the movie. They are attacking the Umbrella Corporation, going up against some bastard named Albert Wesker, played by the awful Shawn Roberts. Director Paul W.S. Anderson shot the film in 3-D, but his film is boring, not to mention cheap-looking. Another sequel is probably on the way; let’s hope Anderson hands the directorial reins to someone else.

Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D is not showing in any theaters in the area.
