City Slickers. This week, Woods Memorial Library's movie of the month is City Slickers. Don't miss Hollywood classics like Billy Crystal, Daniel Stern, and even a very young Jake Gyllenhaal in one of the great '90s comedy classics. A New York businessman somehow winds up helping two friends run a cattle drive in the West, that's something we can all relate to. 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3. 3455 N. First Ave.
Sixteen Candles. What more is there to say about this teen classic? Want to feel like it's the '80s again, or for those of you who weren't alive in that decade, want to have some faux-nostalgia and at the same time see what all the hype is about? P.S., if they made a sequel with Molly Ringwald in it this year, it would be called Fifty Candles. Maybe not quite as nostalgic. Starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6. Harkins Theaters.
A Womb of Their Own. The University of Arizona Women's Resource Center is hosting a speaker series that focuses on sharing and discussing LGBT-related research. Alongside this, they are screening A Womb of Their Own, a film about male-identified couples dealing with their pregnancies. It's an interesting and intimate look about how pregnancies are parenthood isn't quite as rigid as some might think. 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1. Student Union Memorial Center, Suite 404.
The Loft Cinema
First Friday Shorts. If you attended last month's contest, you know what to expect, and if you didn't, you better show up to this. This is an opportunity to see Tucson's best and weirdest local shorts: horror, animation, comedy, documentary, a phallically murderous grizzly bear. See the true face of your city. 9-11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2. $6. 3233 E. Speedway Blvd.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest + Panel Discussion. One of only three movies to win "The Big Five" at the Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay. And after the movie's over, a round-table discussion on what makes it so damn good in the first place. 7:30 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7. $9.50. 3233 E. Speedway Blvd.
