P.S. I Love You

A victim of brain cancer (300’s Gerard Butler) who has somehow managed to keep his studly appearance plans an Ireland getaway for and writes multiple letters to his wife before succumbing to his fatal disease. The newly grieving widow (Hilary Swank) responds with sitcom-like banality and predictability. Meanwhile, a procession of severely underdeveloped characters pass through her life. Director and co-writer Richard LaGravenese’s amateurish adaptation of Cecelia Ahern’s novel offers no chemistry, no sense of credibility and nothing remotely worthwhile.
