How Hippies Do Defacement

UA Area

March 3, 8 a.m.

University of Arizona police found that one of the campus's main garages was hit hard by one or (probably) several vandals—but the result was the opposite of a depressing eyesore, a UA Police Department report stated.

A UA Parking and Transportation employee told officers that a large swath of the north wall of the Tyndall Garage, 880 E. Fourth St., had been covered with chalk—lots of chalk, of all different colors. In fact, an area approximately 20 feet by 8 feet was now a big, bright jumble of hand-drawn multicolored flowers and circles—almost a large, abstract, unauthorized mural.

The graffiti was eventually removed with relative ease (since it had only been made with chalk).
