Saguaro Sacrifice?

San Xavier Beat

October 8, 8:38 a.m.

A man discovered an innocent cactus disgustingly mutilated and dumped in the desert—perhaps someone's sick idea of a joke, a PCSD report said.

The man said he was walking his dog in a quiet desert area near his home when he stumbled across what appeared to be a saguaro cactus—but which was almost unrecognizable, since it had been brutally disfigured with what he surmised was a chainsaw.

The reportee had no idea who could've (or would've) done such a thing, nor were there any clues about that at the scene—so the saguaro slicer remained on the loose at the time of the report.
