A man caught shoplifting chalked up his behavior to a medical problem, according to an Oro Valley Police Department report.
An officer met with the manager of a convenience store where a man had been detained after reportedly trying to walk out carrying a Mountain Dew he hadn't paid for.
The man was passive and apologetic, admitting not only to trying to take the drink but also saying he'd "done this before." He then said he believed he had "a medical condition (that) had something to do with him taking the soda."
Since he paid for the drink and the manager didn't want to press charges, the officer simply warned the man he wasn't allowed back in that store, subsequently letting him go.
