Sees Red, Threatens Black and Blue

South Camino De Oeste, Sept. 2, 5:57 p.m.

A disgruntled mother overreacted to a possible crayon theft, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report.

A sheriff's deputy was called to the residence of a young boy and girl, who said that after getting off their school bus that afternoon, a woman in a brown minivan got out of her vehicle and began to yell at them, using foul language. She asked the boy why he had stolen her kindergartner's crayons and began to make threats, telling him that if he did it again, she would "kick his ass."

Neither child was able to provide a license-plate number for the subject. The children were not questioned as to whether or not they had stolen anyone's coloring utensils.

His Shirt Was Loud, Too

West Vande Loo Street, Sept. 2, 5:49 a.m.

Several people's early mornings were disturbed by a strange man who yelled all night, said a PCSD report.

The reportee said his sleep was repeatedly disturbed the night before by the sound of yelling and objects breaking, coming from a man in a colorful Hawaiian shirt who was screaming in the street. The reportee was afraid to leave his house to go on his morning walk, he said.

At a neighbor's residence, a woman said she and her children heard loud yelling. Her husband went outside and approached the person yelling, who then asked the husband if his dog was loose. When the husband said no, the yelling man said, "I'm sorry, but not that sorry," before starting to yell again, saying, "You drug-dealer motherfucker, I'm going to kill you, you drug-dealer motherfucker."

The woman of the house said she could not get her kids ready for school due to the loud profanity.

The screaming subject was still in the street when deputies arrived; he was handcuffed and arrested.

Kappa Sigma Strippa

UA Area, Sept. 13, 12:15 a.m.

A young woman began to disrobe outdoors after drinking, a UA Police Department report stated.

A UA officer spotted the subject in a parking lot on Vine Avenue, leaning against a white sedan and removing her shorts and boots. She could not stand up independently and reeked of alcohol.

When commanded to re-don her shorts, she obeyed. Asked why she was stripping in the middle of the lot, she replied, "Honestly, I don't know." She had been drinking liquor at the Kappa Sigma fraternity house, she said.

Because the subject was younger than 21, she was cited for underage drinking. She stated that she did not need the citation explained to her--she had previously been arrested for the same charge and "knew the procedure."
