The Devil Made Him Do It

East Benson Highway, Dec. 8, 4:53 a.m.

A woman's mentally disturbed boyfriend forcefully injected her with methamphetamine, following what he believed were the instructions of Satan, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report.

Sheriff's deputies met with the woman after she called to report domestic violence. She stated that earlier that night, she had gotten into a physical argument with her boyfriend, who lives with her in a blue tent--otherwise known as the "Snake Pit"--set up on the side of Benson Highway. The two had been arguing about where the boyfriend had been all day. After he had injected methamphetamine into his own arm, she reported, he tied her up with a sweater, slapped her face multiple times and apparently injected methamphetamine into her arms without her permission.

No marks were visible on the woman's face or neck other than what appeared to be a hickey, but she did have several needle marks on her arms. She admitted that she smoked meth, but insisted she had never injected it herself. That night, she said, her boyfriend had been under the impression that she was a devil and that Satan was telling him to inject drugs into her, because "he did not think she was high enough." She mentioned that her boyfriend was schizophrenic and suicidal.

The victim was transported to the hospital and subsequently to a detoxification center. Sheriff's deputies located the blue tent she described but were unable to find her boyfriend.

Smells Like Teen Drug Use

East Ocotillo Drive, Dec. 8, 10:36 a.m.

A boarding-school student was found in the possession of several items being used to hide marijuana, according to a PCSD report.

A sheriff's deputy was dispatched to Fenster School, 8500 E. Ocotillo Drive, where he spoke with a male juvenile. In the boy's room were a DVD case containing marijuana remnants and a container of Old Spice deodorant with a stash of marijuana hidden beneath the deodorant stick.

The subject stated that he did not know whose DVD it was, but that the deodorant had belonged to his former roommate, who had been kicked out of the school a few weeks earlier.

After being questioned about other items in the room--including cleaning supplies, bathroom products and condiments--the subject reportedly got defensive and stated that everything in the room was his but the deodorant. Asked why he had retained possession of his friend's deodorant for several weeks, he stated that he did not know.

Upon further questioning, the student insisted that he had not smoked marijuana that day. However, when the reporting deputy mentioned the young man's greenish-colored tongue and enlarged taste buds, the subject admitted that he had smoked some pot a little while before.

He was cited for the unlawful possession of marijuana.
