Someone burgled Tucson's Apple Store, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.
A security guard at La Encantada Mall, 2905 E. Skyline Drive, noted "a very extremely large rock" had been thrown through a glass door to get inside the shop. The guard then phoned 911, the report said.
The Apple Store assistant manager said six computers with 15.4-inch displays were pilfered. He estimated the value of each computer was $1,999. The manager was unable to provide authorities with serial numbers for the stolen goods.
One deputy surmised the theft had been a two-man operation, as the security guard told authorities no one had been near the store when he walked by 15 minutes prior to the security alarm sounding. The deputy reportedly thought one person might have wielded the rock while the other acted as a lookout.
Good Neighbors
Wetmore and Oracle Roads, May 8, 7:57 a.m.
A man complained his neighbor tried to run him over as he was getting his mail, a PCSD report said.
The man told authorities that while he was getting his mail, his neighbor peered at him and revved the engine of his Jeep. He said he then took a few steps forward, raised his arms and said, "If you're going to run me over, just do it!"
The man alleged his neighbor then pulled forward and stopped just short of hitting him. He said he then walked back to his house while his neighbor, who had parked his Jeep, attempted to hit him with rocks.
The mother of the man confirmed his story with a deputy. She said they had been having problems with this particular neighbor since he moved in two years ago.
In addition, the man complained the neighbor had repeatedly placed a speaker from his stereo right outside the man's window and would play music very loudly early in the morning, ostensibly to wake him up.
'Til Marijuana Do Us Part
Ina and Thornydale Roads, May 8, 5:20 a.m.
A wife reported her husband for smoking marijuana in their house, a PCSD report said.
A woman met a deputy who arrived at her residence and handed him a bag containing a small amount of marijuana and two pipes, the report stated.
The husband took full responsibility for the marijuana and the pipes, according to the report. The deputy learned that two children were in the house while the husband was allegedly smoking; however, he didn't charge the husband with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, as the children were asleep.
The husband was cited and released for misdemeanor charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
