According to a University of Arizona Police Department report, authorities arrested a man wearing a blue hospital gown for loitering on UA property.
The report said police records showed 48-year-old Anthony Debenedittis had been warned several times in the past few days to leave the UA grounds.
An officer spotted Debenedittis in the courtyard outside the Integrated Learning Center, 1500 E. University Blvd., and warned him again to leave. Debenedittis seemed to indicate that he was there recycling cigarette butts, the report said.
The officer later saw the man chatting with an employee inside the ILC at a time when a UA identification card was required to gain access. A group of students said he walked into the building when the door was closing behind someone else.
Debenedittis was arrested and transported to Pima County Jail.

An employee was fired after he spit in his manager's face three times, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.
Witnesses said the manager at Action Equipment Inc., 3702 E. 37th St., told a group of employees who were chatting to get to work while they were on the clock. One man reportedly became irate and walked into the manager's office, saying he was being singled out for discipline.
The manager said he told the employee several times to clock out and go home, and the employee repeatedly asked if that meant he was fired. The supervisor said he confirmed the man was indeed fired--when the man allegedly spit in his face.
The supervisor said the employee spit in his face at least two more times and pushed him before he finally left on foot.
Authorities circulated the area to see if they could find the ex-employee, without success.
Random Assault
River Road and La Cañada Drive, Oct. 5, 10:04 p.m.
A man said someone he didn't know hit him in the face in an Albertsons parking lot and then drove away, a PCSD report stated.
Three witnesses said the suspect, who had "a lot of tattoos," got out of a Chevrolet Blazer. They told authorities there were four other men in the vehicle.
The witnesses were unable to provide authorities with a license-plate number, because the plate was covered with a white cloth.
Paramedics transported the 41-year-old victim to Northwest Hospital for treatment of a minor jaw injury.
