A woman seeking a counseling job at a drug-addiction treatment center appeared to have taken drugs that made her fall asleep during her interview, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.
Employees at the New Hope Behavioral Health Center, 2001 W. Orange Grove Road, said Kimberlee H. Mackay, 29, kept dozing off in mid-sentence.
An employee said she asked Mackay to leave, as her behavior wasn't normal for run-of-the-mill tiredness. She added that clients seeking treatment at the center were looking at Mackay, and she didn't want them to think she "was normal for their counselors," the report said.
A witness said Mackay stumbled out to her car, where she fell asleep in the driver's seat with the motor running. Employees told authorities they tried to rouse her by banging on the car window, without success.
Mackay reportedly failed a sobriety test and admitted taking prescription drugs a friend had given her. Authorities found and confiscated Soma and Flexeril pills from a bottle Mackay was allegedly carrying. Both are muscle relaxants that can cause drowsiness.
Deputies cited Mackay for driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and two counts of unlawfully possessing a prescription drug.

A woman phoned authorities because she was upset with her husband for not cleaning his bedroom, a PCSD report said.
A deputy, upon entering the bedroom, noted dog feces on the floor and human urine in a coffee can. The report said the foul-smelling room was "unkempt in nearly every definition of the word."
The wife said her husband had left about five days ago, after a fight, and she didn't expect him back. They reportedly lived in separate bedrooms, and the husband kept the door to his room locked. She said she phoned authorities when she was able to get inside after he left.
No charges were filed at the time of the report.

Vail, Sept. 21, 11:37 a.m.
An eighth-grade student was charged with theft and disturbing an educational institution for allegedly stealing a teacher's workbook with answers in it, a PCSD report said.
A teacher said she noticed the girl's performance on assignments all of the sudden went from poor to perfect. Staff noticed workbooks were missing from a classroom, so they thought the girl might have been responsible, the teacher added.
The report said the girl's father returned the books after school officials contacted him.
