A girl retaliated against her nicotine-abusing mother after the mother repeatedly chose smoking over dealing with domestic unpleasantness, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report.
The mother and her husband--the girl's stepfather--said they had been "hanging out" at a bar near their manufactured home when they got a call from the wife's daughter, who was screaming obscenities and saying she did not want to be at home with her brother.
A short time later, the mother received a call from her 12-year-old son, who was upset over a burrito he thought his sister had eaten. She told him to calm down and that the burrito was in the microwave. The wife left the bar to smoke a cigarette.
She soon received another call from her son, who said his sister had broken his arm. Apparently, he and his sister had been throwing pillows and sandals at each other.
The couple returned home from the bar. Entering the residence, the mother saw her daughter talking on a cell phone and took it away, at which point the daughter began to scream more obscenities. The mother responded by leaving to smoke a cigarette.
After the mother and daughter argued over not having any milk in the residence, the mother said she would get the milk later and began to smoke another cigarette. Her daughter declared, "Your cigarettes are more important to you than us!" and threw the cigarette on the ground. When the mother tried to light yet another cigarette, her daughter took that away, too--along with the entire pack, which she dumped on the ground and stepped on. After smashing her mother's ashtray, she went to her room, where a physical fight between mother and daughter ensued.
The daughter was arrested for domestic violence and disorderly conduct.
A Hole in One

An innovative boy turned a golf ball into an apparatus for smoking marijuana, a PCSD report stated.
Over the phone, the subject's father informed the reporting deputy that he had smelled marijuana coming from his son's bedroom the night before. He told the son that he would look through the entire room for the drugs if the son didn't hand them over. At this point, the father said, his son gave him a golf ball.
At the subject's residence, the reporting deputy confiscated the golf ball and found that it had a hole drilled through it, from which emanated a strong smell of marijuana. A sticky substance seemed to be inside the ball.
The boy affirmed that this was the "pipe" he had used to smoke marijuana. He was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
