An employee locked her boss out of the truck she was driving after he became combative with her, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report said.
The boss told deputies the pair had started arguing after a business dinner. His employee, he said, pulled over and asked him to check a tire that she said didn't feel right. He alleged she locked the doors when he got out.
The female employee said that after the meeting, her boss began to push and curse at her. She alleged that at one point, he pushed her head into the truck's side window, so she decided to pull over. Her boss got out, she said, and then she locked all the doors and refused to let him back in.
The boss admitted to having several drinks with dinner. Both claimed they were not in a romantic relationship.
The woman decided not to press charges. Authorities called cabs for both the man and the woman, and the truck was left on the side of the road.
All's Well That Ends Well
River Road and Campbell Avenue, Oct. 12, 12:09 p.m.
A man became belligerent with a woman who was driving a piece of heavy machinery at a road-construction site, a PCSD report said.
A co-worker who was watching the woman operate the machinery said the man drove up in his pickup, got out and started yelling that the "bitch" needed to slow "the fuck down," the report said. The co-worker said he was standing between the woman--who had gotten off the machinery to get in on the conversation--and the male pickup driver, who allegedly made attempts to go around him.
A deputy contacted the man a short time later. He told him that flagmen who were directing traffic were giving conflicting signals, and that the woman who was driving the machinery was doing so at an unsafe clip. He accused her of nearly plowing into his vehicle as a result.
The deputy informed the man that because he had "become upset to the point of belligerence," he could be arrested for disturbing the peace. The man was given the option of going back to the work site and smoothing things over with the female construction worker.
He did so, and she accepted his apology, the report said.
