According to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report, witnesses at a shopping center said a drunken man was knocked unconscious when he fell off his scooter.
A maintenance worker at the shopping center said the 46-year-old man drove the Black Widow scooter through the parking lot every day. He added that the driver always appeared to be intoxicated and on the verge of tipping over.
The report stated that paramedics attempted to give the man intravenous fluids, but were unsuccessful due to his "thick, hard skin." The man later regained consciousness at University Medical Center, where he allegedly admitted to having "about 16 drinks." He rated his level of intoxication on a scale of one to 10 as being "a 12."
The man refused to answer any other questions about his previous driving record. No arrests were made at the time of the report.

Stepbrothers said a boy in their neighborhood went overboard during a not-so-friendly game of cops and robbers, a PCSD report said.
The boys, ages 6 and 13, said they were playing in their front yard after school when a 13-year-old acquaintance they described as a "bully" joined them.
The alleged bully threw the 6-year-old on the ground, "pulled his hands behind his back and attempted to tie him up with a belt," the stepbrothers said. He then tried to pick the youngest boy up by his feet, causing the 6-year-old's pants to come off, they added. The report stated that the older stepbrother chased the boy off with a stick.
The stepbrothers' parents told deputies that they had prohibited the boy from coming onto their property and wanted a restraining order against him. They decided not to press charges for assault.
Bad Student
UA Area, Feb. 16, 2:58 p.m.
A professor teaching Spanish contacted authorities to report a 75-year-old woman who was prone to "emotional, angry and belligerent outbursts during class," a University of Arizona Police Department report said.
The professor said the woman sparred with him over assignment perimeters and due dates. He added that she made no threats, but had continually disrupted his teaching.
Other students told him they felt "afraid and uncomfortable," the professor said.
The woman reportedly showed up to class after he had informed her that she had been dropped for excessive absences. She reportedly shouted at him and then walked away after he told her not to come to class.
No charges were filed. The professor said he would pursue action through the dean of students.
