According to a University of Arizona Police Department report, a maintenance employee has found feces that they believe came from a human for the second time this semester.
A maintenance employee told supervisors at the Creative Writing Building, 1221 E. Helen St., that he found the feces in the building's backyard over the weekend of Oct. 24.
Officer Caballero documented the incident when he returned to work the following Monday. According to Caballero, a similar incident occurred within the previous 20 days.
UAPD has plans to make more late-night rounds near the building, the report stated.
Officer Caballero did not document how the maintenance employee knew the feces were from a human.
Aspen Fire Aftermath
Mount Lemmon area, Oct. 20, 12:30 p.m.
A Tucson contractor who was rebuilding homes damaged by the Aspen Fire allegedly threatened to use a tractor to run over a competing contractor, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.
The alleged victim contractor told deputies that he was telling the employees from the other contracting company to leave the site when one of them drove a steam shovel at him. The man driving the shovel allegedly yelled at the contractor to get out of the way, or he would run him over. The contractor jumped out of the way and escaped serious injury.
Employees from both contracting companies told deputies that there have been disagreements and arguments in the past between the company's employees.
One employee said that employees from the other company have parked their cars in areas that interrupted the construction process for competing companies.
Deputies told the men that detectives may be investigating the incident further.
Trailer Park Pot
South Hildreth Avenue and West Bird Road, Oct. 23, 7:50 a.m.
According to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report, deputies confiscated a 12-inch pot plant that a mobile-home park manager found inside the trailer park.
The park manager showed Deputy M.H. Valencia where she found the plant, growing near a fence that borders the western edge of the property.
Deputy Valencia took the plant and put it in the evidence room at the PCSD.
The manager said she doesn't know who was growing the plant.
A Sticky Road Situation
East Skyline Drive and North Campbell Avenue, Oct. 20, 8 a.m.
A Tucson man was trying to pass another vehicle when the other driver pelted his car with a soda can.
The man pulled over after he saw the can hit his windshield. Deputies have no suspects at this time.
