Re: “Hidden Agenda?

Nan you are like many parents at SSA. You believe in the school and the teachers and that's not a bad thing. What is a bad thing is how unwilling you are to look at the facts that are right in front of you. I have been at the school for a couple of years and have a very high achieving student. When I learned about Gulen from other parents a couple months ago I couldn't believe it either. All I was told was the name Gulen and to look it up and look beyond the obvious. I started doing research and I was amazed at how much is out there.
Yes, the school has good academics and dedicated teachers. What about those teachers? There are some really great teachers who want to be in administration but because they are not Turkish they never will. Doesn't anyone care about that? Haven't THOSE teachers ever wondered why they can't be promoted? Don't you ever wonder why all the school board is TURKISH MEN? The students "white" vice principal came from another "Gulen" school prior to coming to SSA. There are some members of the Gulen movement, by the way, who are not Turkish. Even some teachers who are not Turkish but are part of this movement. SSA thinks we will be coming back next year but they have no idea. People are leaving because the word is getting out. Do your research and you too will find out a lot of things. What I find discusting is the number of parents who keep cheerleading even in the face of mounting evidence. Overcome your ignorance for the good of your children and DO SOME RESEARCH. Parents at "Gulen" schools all across the country are now finding out the facts.
