• The submission deadline for our Obama Issue is almost here! All submissions need to be in on or before noon on Jan. 7--that's next Wednesday.
To recap what the Obama Issue is all about: In our Jan. 15-21 issue, we're opening our pages to you, our splendid readers, to express yourselves regarding the departure of George W. Bush and the inauguration of Barack Obama. That expression can take pretty much any form: writings, poetry, visual arts--it's up to you.
While we're still eagerly seeking writing submissions, I want to put out a special call to you visual artists out there: As of now, we've received no drawings or illustrations.
Again, that deadline is noon on Wednesday, Jan. 7. Send questions and submissions--with contact information for verification purposes--to the e-mail address below. Thanks!
• For our 25th Anniversary Issue--mark Feb. 26 on your calendars--we're looking for couples who met through our personals--and, yes, that includes the uncensored personals, you kinky bastards. If you've enjoyed any interesting experiences regarding our "I Saw You" ads, we want to talk to you, too. Call 295-4230, or send e-mail with "TW Personals" in the subject line.
• In food news, um, news: Adam Borowitz, our City Week listings master, is writing our Noshing Around column as of this week. Send any restaurant-related news, events, tips and/or information to either noshing or aborowitz e-mail addresses, or ring him up at 295-4224.
• One last thing: Happy New Year!
