HEAD NORTH FOR THE HOLIDAY
North Italia's Holiday Dinner, created by Executive Chef Carlos Calderon as part of the Fall Community Dinners series, will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m. You may have heard me rave about these before, but that's because Chef Calderon's community dinners are that sensational! The dinner will feature (the usual) four courses of traditional holiday dishes including; roasted veal, tuna with cannellini beans, and homemade pasta with seafood from different regions in Italy plus wine pairings for $55 per person (tax and gratuity extra). Make reservations at 299-1600.
Goodness Juice Bar Fresh Food has opened a second location at 1011 N. Tyndall Ave. in the Hub at Tucson tower. The folks at Goodness have brought an expanded menu of quick and healthy food, juices and more to the UA, or to put it in their words "Fresh Food, Savory Salad, Jammin Juices." Goodness is catering to the area's college crowd with the addition of a variety of items offered on a late night menu served from 9 p.m to 11 p.m, including a full espresso bar serving Intelligentsia Coffee. Who could't use some freshness after all that holiday feasting? Check the out on their website: goodnessfresh.com.
