Mulligan's Sports Grill, 9403 E. Golf Links Road, is throwing a costume party and contest this Friday, Halloween! There will be all sorts of drink specials, including $4 Jack Daniels, $2 beers and $1 Jello pudding Shots! (The Cos would be so proud) For partygoers in costume, there will be food specials as well, such as 45 cent wings, $2.50 nachos, and many more munchies! The costume contest is giving away prizes including Visa gift cards and Mulligan's gift certificates for the top three in garb. McMahon's Steakhouse, 2959 N. Swan Road, Tucson's premiere fine dining steakhouse and amazing wine purveyor, is celebrating its 16th year in business on Friday, Oct. 31. The whole weekend (Friday, Oct. 31—Sunday, Nov. 2), they are featuring $16 specials, including filet mignon, slow roasted New York strips, salmon and chicken piccata, along with accompaniments. On their actual anniversary, all menu items will be at special prices and they will have Day Job performing on the patio starting at 7 p.m. (with no cover) as well a $6 happy hour all night! The Tucson Celtic Festival takes place this weekend at Rillito Park, 4502 N. First Ave. Friday is the Celtic Halloween Party, with gates opening at 5 p.m. for trick or treating with and free admission until 6 p.m. Although admission after 6 p.m. is only $8, with proceeds benefitting Tu Nidito, so that's not a bad deal either. The kilt-wearing folks will keep the party going all day and night Saturday as well, then they'll share the park with the farmers market, with the closing ceremonies at 4:15 p.m. Scotch and churros anyone? What's better than great sushi and some good drinks? Not much, but take those two and add getting a local legend to sign your copy of a new book about Wildcat basketball, well, that oughta do it! Tonight, Thursday, Oct. 30, at Mr. An's Tucson, 6091 N. Oracle Road, there will be two epic Tucson faces in one spot! Lute Olson, Mr. An, plus the book's authors (Steve Rivera and Anthony Gimino) will be at the restaurant at 7 p.m. autographing the new book; "100 Things Arizona Fans Need to Know and Do Before They Die!" Go for the Silver Fox's John Hancock and stay for a sake bomb and Mango Crunch roll!
