Jax Kitchen to close, Poppy Kitchen to open

Jax Makes Way for Poppy

Brian Metzger of Metzger Family Restaurants announced plans to end the five-year run of his first restaurant, Jax Kitchen and plans to open Poppy Kitchen at The Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa, on Feb. 21. Poppy, named in honor Metzger's late grandfather, is going in the spot that formally housed Janos' J-Bar. Metzger stated that Jax Kitchen is nearing the end of its lease, and they took this opportunity to focus on the company's growth brands. Jax Kitchen's last day of operation will be Sunday, Feb. 16. Reservations are being taken for the final four weeks of the restaurant's business at 219-1235.
