Moveable Feast

Feast will soon move from its current location at 4122 E. Speedway Blvd. to a now-under-construction building at 3719 E. Speedway Blvd. Owner and chef Doug Levy said the new location will seat about 100 people (the current location seats 60) and will have a private dining room, allowing him to hold special events that aren't feasible at the current location. Levy said the ever-changing menu and comfortable atmosphere will remain, but the new location will take reservations and have better parking. He expects the new Feast to open by September.

Café Tremolo

Paul Blackwell, who ran the Tea Room at Tohono Chul Park with his wife for 12 years, has opened Café Tremolo at the Foothills Mall (7401 N. La Cholla Blvd.). "This is not freezer-to-fryer franchise food," Blackwell said while listing off the house-butchered meats used in the ginger tilapia, salmon, prime rib and other entrées. "Our freezer gets used for ice cream and a couple of desserts, and that's it." Live music is featured several nights a week; a liquor license is pending. Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily; 742-2999.

Soup Skills

Is soup really good food? It is when James Wallace of Westward Look Resort (245 E. Ina Road) makes it, and you can learn some of his secrets at "Cooking With the Chef," from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 24. Wallace will discuss the painstaking preparation of a proper consommé and give hints on making other soups; $30, which includes a tour of the chef's garden, lunch and recipes. Call 297-1151 for reservations.
