Here are some stimulating packages to spoil your sweetie with on Valentine's Day. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Armitage Wine Lounge and Café (2905 N. Skyline Drive, No. 168) will offer a three-course dinner for $50 per person, or $80 with wine; 682-9740.

Cactus Rose Steakhouse (445 S. Alvernon Way) will have four courses for $38 per person. A hotel and dinner package is also available; 881-4200.

Janos (3770 E. Sunrise Drive) will have a prix-fixe menu for $75 per person, or $110 with wine pairings. The J Bar will have dinner offerings for $50 per person, or $75 with wine pairings; 615-6100; janos.com.

JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa (3800 W. Starr Pass Blvd.) will have specials at all three of its restaurants: Primo (791-6071) will have four courses for $75 per person; Signature Grill (792-3500) will have an à la carte menu or a four-course dinner for $59; and the Catalina Steakhouse (670-0444) will have four courses for $75. Wine pairings are available for an additional $20.

Miguel's at La Posada (5900 N. Oracle Road) will serve a Latin American-style, three-course meal for $40 per person; 887-3777.

Montana Avenue (6390 E. Grant Road) will have three courses for $25 per person from 4 to 5:30 p.m.; and $40 per person from 5:30 to 11 p.m.; 298-2020.

The Cup Café at Hotel Congress (311 E. Congress St.) is throwing a five-course "Love Fest" from 5 p.m. to midnight; 622-8848.

The Grill at Hacienda del Sol (5601 N. Hacienda del Sol Road) will serve four courses for $75 per person; 529-3500.

Wildflower (7037 N. Oracle Road; 219-4230) and NoRTH (2995 E. Skyline Drive; 299-1600) will offer three courses for $30 per person from 4 to 5:30 p.m.; and $50 per person from 5:30 to 11 p.m.

And the Sheraton Tucson Hotel and Suites (5151 E. Grant Road) will have a four-course romantic dinner for two, marshmallow roasting, a room and other accoutrements for $279; 323-6262; sheraton.com/tucson.


Hotdog Heaven, which dished out dogs for four years at 8291 N. Cortaro Road, has closed, according to Sandy Knight, who ran the place with her son David. Fresco Pizzeria and Pastaria, 4229 W. Ina Road, has also closed.

Grand Opening

Dickey's Barbecue Pit at 4210 N. First Ave. is throwing a celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6, featuring specials on sandwich combos and prize giveaways; 292-4664.
