New: French Twist Café
Located at 10110 N. Oracle Road next to Vino 100, French Twist Café recently opened, serving casual breakfast and lunch Tuesday through Saturday, and a full-service brunch on Sunday. Cancer Fundraiser at RA
From May 28 through June 3, RA Sushi will host their second annual weeklong fundraiser benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Nicky Mailliard of Scottsdale, who lost a valiant fight with brain cancer last year at age 13. All of the proceeds from tootsy maki, edamame, pork gyoza, Fiji water, Red Bull and selected beverages will be donated. RA is located at 2905 E. Skyline Drive; 615-3970.

Wild Ginger Lounge
Starting Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, the Cascade Lounge at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort transforms into an enlightened place where the Far East meets the Wild West. You can expect retro dance music on Fridays from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.; '80s techno on Saturdays during the same hours; and chill-out lounge music Sundays from 4 to 8 p.m. There's no cover charge, but you can buy $5 Asian-inspired drinks, along with pupus and mini pizzas.
