Sweet Ending

After 21 years, Ilsa's Bakery and Café is closing its doors on Jan. 31. Ilsa is looking forward to the fourth chapter of her life--retirement. Some of Ilsa's pastries and made-to-order wedding cakes will be available at the Village Bakehouse, 7882 N. Oracle Road, in Oro Valley. Contact Paulette for specifics; 531-0977.

Cien Años

It's closed, although the phone still has voicemail--but they never call back. According to sources, they have been closed since December.

Name That Candy Bar

What's your candy bar IQ? Can you identify the candy bar by looking at the cross-section?

Wine, Cheese and Thou

The Monkey Box features a Valentine's Day cheese and charcuterie plate, along with a bottle of wine for $30 per couple; meanwhile, a classical guitar serenades. Reservations required at 100 N. Stone Ave.; 623-3500.

Valentine's Day Countdown

Take six couples who are family or friends. Then add five dinner courses, four bottles of wine and three surprises, at a cost of $200 per couple, all leading up to one memorable Valentine's dinner at Terra Cotta. The price does not include tax and gratuity. Only one reservation is available for this special event. For reservations, call Maya at 577-8181.

Out of the Box: Chocolate

Do you think chocolate is just for eating? What about an application of chocolate body syrup and an exfoliating chocolate mineral scrub over the entire body, followed by a wrap and scalp massage? The scrub is then removed with warm towels, and chocolate whip crème moisturizes your skin. To request the cocoa body treatment for Valentine's Day, call Westward Look Resort; 297-1151. The cost is $89 for 50 minutes.
