Pleased to Meat You

Opening April 1 (no joke) in the northwest part of Tucson is Texas T-Bone Steaks, serving 19 different cuts of meat ranging from 6 ounces to 64 ounces in size. T-Bone is locally owned by three guys who like restaurants--Steven Baldwin, Mike Arino and Phil Hochevar--who also own the original T-Bone at 8981 E. Tanque Verde Road. Last year, they donated $64,000 to children's charities. Baldwin points out that T-Bone has always offered a low-carb menu, and he wants Tucsonans to know that the new location has a full bar and a 15-by-10-foot high-definition television. The new T-Bone is open daily from 11 a.m., at 8310 N. Thornydale Road, 572-5968.

Viva Veggie!

The 2004 edition of the Tucson Vegetarian Restaurant Guide is now available from the Vegetarian Resource Group, a nonprofit educational organization. The Westward Look Resort starts with a 6 a.m. sunrise service on the rooftop terrace of the new Sonoran Ballroom.
