Nopal Harvest and Preparation Workshop

Laurie Melrood leads a workshop about how to harvest, prepare and preserve fresh young prickly pear pads for healthy eating, at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 11; $35, includes a jar of salsa. Prickly pear pads have been shown to help control cholesterol and positively influence blood-sugar levels in people with diabetes.
