No End in Sight

If you’re not already depressed, you might want to go see No End in Sight, a painfully sobering exploration of everything that went wrong with the occupation of Iraq. Basically picking up with the fall of Baghdad, No End shows how the rank incompetence of the Bush administration created, armed and enforced the insurgency, destroyed the infrastructure and pretty much sodomized the entire country. In some ways, this film just tells you what you already know, but if you’re like most people, you know it in a hazy way; No End in Sight spells it out in all its particulars, so, even if it solves nothing, it at least serves as a detailed reminder of what not to do next time. Like, say, all of it.
