What was the first concert you ever saw?

Jethro Tull at the Irvine Meadows in Irvine, Calif. It was a family outing a long time ago.

What CDs are in your changer right now?

All my Rush albums! A week and a half ago, I just wanted to start listening to Rush all the time. I'm even wearing my Rush T-shirts, and I look like a big geek.

How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?

I bet I have about 40 gigs worth of music on my computer. I stopped counting after a while.

Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?

A little bit of both. I used to download legally, but I'm kind of over it now. I just came back around to buying CDs, and I download illegally just to check something out.

What was the first album you owned?

Nirvana, Nevermind. I got it on cassette when I was in fifth-grade.

What song would you like to have played at your funeral?

Fuck, man, it's probably "Fade to Black" by Metallica.

Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?

I'm usually proud of my guilty pleasures, and I try to flaunt it to make people feel uncomfortable about it. I'm kind of embarrassed that I listen to Saves the Day.

What band or artist changed your life, and how?

Metallica, because they showed me how you can add a certain mood to your music, how you can make it epic and powerful. They have influenced more people than any other band of their generation.

Figurative gun to your head, what is your favorite album of all time?

The thing that is coming to my head right now is Depeche Mode, Violator.
